The chronicle of a social outing for employees of the CRAL-INPS (National Social Security Institute) in Bologna. On 16 October 1966 we set off by coach from the city of Bologna, destination Genoa and Liguria. The trip starts with fine weather, but it is only an illusion. 'The production declines all responsibility with the weather conditions that did not allow for more or better' reads the captions at the beginning of the 8mm film, an accurate chronicle of the trip first in black and white and then in colour. But as the understated commentary that punctuates the editing of the sequences suggests, colour helps little with all the grey in the air. Those hoping to go to San Fruttuoso are frustrated by the impossibility of reaching the resort by sea, but at least the lunch is quite satisfactory and "the wine not entirely despicable." The doubt arises that CRAL employees are also bored at work....
