The one who most dramatically experiences his time during the fascist period and his transit towards the post-war period is Renzo Renzi. The author develops a complex and mature discourse on the responsibilities of the Fascist Regime and repeatedly comes to terms with his past in a very profound and original way, even going so far as to dedicate a film subject to the Cineguf entitled "Il pugnale tra i denti" (1960).
