Within the Guf there were two significantly intertwined activities. One activity focused on the promotion of film culture and education in the language of film while the other important activity was that of production. The Cineguf in fact produced amateur films thanks to the funds that the National Fascist Party had decided to grant. The available budget could be invested to cover the production costs of the films but could also be spent to set up screenings and thus to pay for the rental of the films or the local cinema. This system meant that filmmaking became instrumental in sustaining the group and its cultural activities, revolutionizing the very idea of a club.
